How to Prepare for Your SmartLipo Appointment
You don’t need to do much in preparation for your SmartLipo appointment. We recommend clearing your schedule for at least a few days after treatment to give yourself time to heal. The Smart Lipo Procedure Process
No general anesthesia is required. During the procedure, only the treatment area will be numbed with local anesthesia. Therefore, you will be awake during the procedure.

Avoid driving or operating machinery for the first 24 hours after your appointment. You should plan to get as much rest as possible during this time. However, the day after your appointment, we recommend short segments of light activity, such as walking for 10 minutes. You can increase your daily activity over the following days as tolerated. Staying sedentary for too long can increase your risk of pneumonia, deep venous thrombosis, and slowed recovery.
Wait 24 hours after SmartLipo to shower. If you have a drain, place a long pantyhose or shoelace around your neck and pin the drain to it so it stays in place. Follow all other aftercare instructions as provided to ensure a smooth, low-risk recovery.
